Stories of the North - Grant Forbes
Event description
One of Rip Curl’s original graphic designers, Grant helped shape the visual language of surf culture in the ’70s and ’80s, creating iconic imagery that travelled the world. But since the 1970s, he’s called Darwin home, a place that’s seeped into his work in quiet, powerful ways.
Stories of the North is a visual journal of Grant’s time across the Top End. Storytelling rooted in the Territory’s landscapes, people, and spirit. These works carry the salt, sun, and soul of a life spent moving between coasts, cultures, and communities.
This exhibition honours a creative who’s seen the world but always returned north. Reminding us that the best stories are often the ones closest to home.
Join us from 6pm to view the exhibition.
