Stories through Songs... the 1st Thousand Days
Event description
The Child and Family Learning Centre is proud to host the launch of "The Stories in Song ...the 1st Thousand Days" project. It will be an exciting showcase of the 4 songs that the group have written and recorded with the expert guidance of Alex Morse (Creative Therapies) and Tessa Lee (performing artist). The group have named themselves The Little Tassie Devils.
The 4 songs are quite different as each focuses upon different aspects of the experience of the 1st thousand days of a child's life. There is a lullaby, a children's song, a song relating the pressure a parent feels and the other is about the mixed messages we give our children!
We welcome you to this launch and trust it will be as uplifting as the group has felt during the song writing process. There will be live performance and the screening of the four videos.
In the event of wet weather, the launch will take place in Market Pavillion.
Parents/ carers please note this is an open public space. We ask that you keep your children close to you. Please bring their water bottles. There will be morning tea for the children provided during the event.
Morning tea for the adults will be provided at the conclusion of the proceedings.
This project has been funded by the B4 Early Years Coalition and auspiced by Choose Life Services. We are so grateful for the support provided.
