Backbone takes the health and safety of all of our patrons, artists and staff seriously. As such, from the 17th of December 2021 we will be following the State Government of Queensland mandate that patrons, staff and artists above the age of 16 need to be fully vaccinated with an approved Covid vaccine to enter Backbone. Please do not purchase a ticket to this event if you will not be fully vaccinated by this performance date. You will need to provide adequate proof of double vaccination upon arrival at the venue and patrons who fail to do so will be refused entry.

STORIES UNDER THE TREE

Stories Under the Tree is a youth arts workshop, facilitated by Santa’s elves in which children unwrap stories in a game of pass the present and write their own Christmas story in a present which they create for themselves. The attendees will have the choice of taking their present home or leaving it under the elves’ Christmas tree. The arts workshop will conclude with a Christmas themed dance party with Santa making a special appearance.

Tickets are $10 and the sessions are capped at 30 participants to ensure a quality program from all.

This event is taking place on Turrbal and Jagera country. We respectfully acknowledge the traditional owners of the land, recognise sovereignty was never ceded and pay our respects to the elders past and present.
