We are bringing the magic of Story Factory to the Bidwill, Mount Druitt community, and we invite you to join us in celebrating the opening of our new creative writing centre — Story Factory Bidwill.

Our purpose at Story Factory Bidwill is to empower local young people through creative writing, using an innovative community hub model that allows us to engage more deeply with young people and their community. Alongside our established centres in Redfern and Parramatta, Story Factory Bidwill provides a rare space for young people to find and share their voices, while connecting with other writers.

We are excited to share this brand new space with the Hive, a place-based, collective impact initiative working across the 2770 postcode to ensure every child has the best possible start in life. At the event we will celebrate both the opening of Story Factory Bidwill, and The Hive solidifying its 10‑year commitment to the Mount Druitt community from a new home.

The free event will bring members of the local community together with friends of Story Factory and the Hive to celebrate the new space. You will have the chance to hear from local young people, connect with new and familiar faces, and everyone is welcome to take part in creative writing activities conjured up by our Storytellers.

Please note that the event formalities will take place from 10:30-11:30am.

Get in touch with us us at hello@storyfactory.org.au with any questions. We can’t wait to see you there.

Story Factory gratefully acknowledges the support of The Balnaves Foundation and the Ian Potter Foundation, who have made it possible for us to open Story Factory Bidwill.
