Chris Martin Murphy

From age 16, Chris has had a parallel music career between acoustic solo singer guitarist in cafesand at parties (in UK, Australia, Spain and USA), and lead guitarist and blues harmonica player in rock and blues bands (in UK, USA, France and Australia). He is presently founder (2015), vocalist, guitarist, and harmonica player in the Sydney band ‘Blues Collective’, and one half of blues duo ‘Murphy & Skipper’.

Eddy Rockefeller

Eddy was born on the mean streets of a private hospital, crawling her way through society to become the abrasive bogan she is today. She is raunchy, she’s irreverent, she’s officially unemployed (she used to work for herself but got fired for sexual harassment). With over two decades of professional attention seeking, she’s performed to audiences all over the world. Known around the scene for her affable nature, she’s not afraid to tell you her deep dark secrets, in fact she has to, she can’t afford therapy.

Alan Stevens

Alan Stevens is an International Profiling and Communications Specialist who has worked with international clients, the likes of Disney Films and Gillette, and high-profile organisations like the Australian Federal Police to help them to understand how people tick. Alan works with business owners and executives, helping them to understand and engage their clients and prospects, enhancing their presentations and negotiation skills and increasing sales. And with parents and teachers to help them enhance the ability of their children to reach their full potential while improving the experience of the parents, teachers, and students. His latest community initiative is The Campfire Project. The Campfire is a safe place for men and women to give themselves permission to tell their stories. To share their experiences and wisdom from around the world. This is his #WeTogether initiative.

Neil Mansfield

I grew up in a modest bungalow, under the flightpath, in Sydney’s inner west, without a car, and embraced walking as an efficient way of getting around. Nowadays, strolling suburbia is also a perpetual source of fresh ideas: most of my creative works— filmmaking, photography & mixed media art-making—are inspired by “street-found” things: ‘everyday’ things found ‘every day’ on ordinary urban streets. Pretty/ugly ephemera encountered by chance. Over the decades I’ve collected thousands of ‘found notes’: to-do lists, post cards, love letters, songs & poems, and anecdotes; all handmade then lost by strangers. My art is tactile & textural. I try to re-present ‘the thinginess’ of things. And I still experiment with analogue tapes & celluloid films. I’ve written & directed two “arthouse” feature films, FRESH AIR (1998) & STREETSWEEPER (2008), and made numerous music videos & short films, which have screened around the world- in main street cinemas; on free-to-air & pay TV; ondemand; and, on “pop-up” screens in art galleries, pubs & laneways. I also shoot live music events.

Megan McLauchlan

Megan grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney. Her working life has revolved around teaching, specialising in ancient and modern history.

From 2012 - 2017, after retiring from teaching, Megan and her husband embarked on an epic sailing trip around the Mediterranean.

Buying their boat Pavlov, in Turkey, they lived on board full time, sailing from Turkey to the south of France.

Megan acted as the sole crew on the boat. Terrified of falling overboard and big winds. Experiencing a dragging anchor that took them onto rocks, a collision, and being asked to offer a bribe to avoid leaving a country due to visa issues.

Life was exciting and terrifying. Becoming a stronger and more resilient person. She realised how much courage she had till then untested.

Megan, a Mayfield local, is a strong unionist has two grown-up children and much-adored granddaughter
