StoryArt Exhibition Opening 2026

Opening Night is Friday 10 April at 5:30pm. The exhibition will be open daily from 10:00am – 4:00pm until Sunday 19 April 2026.

Join us for the Up Late event at the Book Links Story Art Exhibition. Free admission but please register for catering purposes.

This annual event showcases local artist-illustrators whose work includes creating beautiful books for children. The participants will have illustrations, models and other art on display. Books will be available for purchase.

This year’s artists are:

Gus Gordon Into the Bewilderness Hardie Grant July 2025 (Notable book 2026) ; Finding Francois Penguin 2020; Somewhere Else Penguin March 2020 His book book Herman and Rosie was chosen as the 2013 ‘Read for Australia’ book and won the 2013 CBCA ‘Honour Award’ for best picture book. Website

Monty Lee Tilly in a Tangle (Margrete Lamond) Dirt Lane Press 2024 (Notable book 2025); Grumpy Bear, Grouchy Bear (Lyn Ward) Riveted Press 2018. Amongst her work are the illustrations for Songs to Edward Lear, Theo’s Princess and A Special Treat. Yvonne Mes – The feature will be a gashapon machine. It is a vending machine that you load with capsules that hold objects. The plan is to make miniature books to put in the capsules. Website
