MUV Talks, Storyo & Xabilities
Event description
MUV Talks, Storyo & Xabilities are joining forces to celebrate neurodiversity!
Come along to hear from three amazing humans sharing their stories and watch a mini-documentary with us, created by Storyo, Kiran Patel, and Xabilities about 5 autistic people in New Zealand.
Join us to celebrate the diversity of our communities, share delicious kai and listen to a wonderful bunch of people.
You can grab a free ticket or choose to make a donation to Xabilities to support their mission on creating awareness and understanding about being positive when you are different, compared to a ‘normal’ person.
Note: The venue is wheelchair accessible and we will have chairs to sit on too. We are expecting to have around 100 people, so it might get a bit noisy. However, we will be abiding by the no clapping / flashing lights rule and will have plenty of quiet spaces where you can take a break. If you have any questions or requirements, please contact us and we will make sure we accommodate!
Please don't forget to check out our code of conduct.

Event collaborators:
MUV talks is a non-profit series focused on building capability and relationships within communities. Each event consists of seven talks for seven minutes, from a diverse set of people with different experiences and points of view, talking about one common theme. You can check out the 100+ talks on our Youtube channel.
Storyo is a platform that shares stories of women and gender-diverse babes around Aotearoa with the mission to change what success looks like in our society and celebrate diversity. Check out 150+ written, video and audio stories.
Xabilities helps those with differences, think, move, & feel, without fear of judgement, to reach their full potential. Started by Tamara Grant, Xabilities is creating awareness and understanding of positive differences and re-defining what ‘normal’ looks like.
