In partnership with Museums of History NSW and the Sugar Valley Library Museum, kirantakamyari, Museums & Galleries of NSW is delighted to invite you to a special Storyplace Roadshow workshop on Thursday 19 June at Sugar Valley Library Museum, kirantakamyari on Awabakal Country.

About the day’s program:

Anna Cossu, Curator from Museums of History NSW, will lead a workshop on Significance 2:0 to carefully guide you through the Significance Assessment process using real case studies.

You will gain and widen your understanding of what Significance is and how it can benefit your museum, as well as participate in practical activities to develop your skills and confidence to make decisions about what to accept, what to keep, and how to say ‘no’ to a donation that is not in keeping with your collection policy or focus

M&G NSW’s Storyplace staff will present on how we are currently working with our regional museum partners to add the first batch of curriculum stories to the Storyplace website.

About the Storyplace Roadshow:

The Storyplace Roadshow is a touring workshop program that supports the critical work of small museums – including object care and storage, Significance assessment, storytelling, and using our collections to engage school children and teachers.
