Storytellers Gathering 2026

Traditional Storytellers (and story listeners) of Western Australia! 

This is your official invitation to spend another weekend together to connect, skillshare, celebrate, and listen to and tell stories from other storytellers across the State. Our first weekend was a wonderful exploration of story within the community, and we hope you can join us again.

As before, we will have skill-sharing and workshops on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, we will have a workshop and then tell stories to a supportive audience of our fellow participants and the local community.

The intention remains to gather storytellers from across WA to help build our connections as a community, build collaboration opportunities, and create a space for storytellers to connect in a safe and welcoming event where all types of storytellers are welcomed and valued.

This will remain a self-catered event. We understand that many people have dietary restrictions, but there's nothing better than sharing communal meals on Friday evening. If we all bring a meal to share with others we can share from 6.30pm. As for 2025, there will probably be enough leftovers for Saturday night, however, food is your responsibility.

We hope that on this weekend of stories, you will:

+ make new storytelling friends and build your network

+ learn new skills

+ practice telling stories

+ feel a sense of belonging in the community

+ celebrate this art form that we all love

+ have fun!

If there's someone you are happy to room share with, please let us know when you book. Please get in early to avoid disappointment if you prefer a single room. There are limited tickets available for the venue, and they don't permit camping/vehicles. Ticket price includes accommodation, workshops, and events, and attendance at the Sunday "festival".

We are proud to let you know it is an accessible venue, as we didn't want anyone to miss out due to mobility/access issues. If you have health issues that require specifics, such as proximity to a toilet, etc, please get in touch so we can help make it happen.
