🎤 LIVE STORYTELLING Join in a special Storytelling Night celebrating the voices and experiences of women from across Wagga Wagga. Hear powerful and unexpected stories brought to life through live readings by powerful performers, sharing memories, journeys, moments of connection and the things that matter most. Got a story to tell? Take the open mic. Share a memory, celebrate your culture, challenge a label, reclaim your narrative — or simply say something that matters to you. Arrive and register in person at 6.30pm. Strictly 2 minutes each reading. Registrations close 7pm.

Expect stories that will make you laugh, think, remember and see the world from a different perspective. Bar open.

Voices of Women is a not for profit organisation that presents new work by Australian women writers by powerful women actors, and collaborates with artists and musicians. The program begins with an annual national writing competition, and the outcome is live rehearsed readings by powerful actors in immersed, unexpected and surprising storytelling spaces. The stories are written in the first person - monologues, soliloquies and narratives - and performed in public by trained actors in rehearsed readings. Voices of Women is committed to breaking down barriers and presenting diverse stories and tales from all women in Australia, in particular First Nations stories, stories from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, from women living with disability and LGBTQI+ communities. Collaboration and community participation is at the heart of the Voices of Women adventure and the building of relationships across the writing and performance sector is key.
