Storytelling workshop facilitated by Bert Spinks
Event description
Are you someone who likes to spin a yarn? This workshop, led by Bert Spinks, will invite people to create a piece of work celebrating your favourite places, weaving personal stories, history, ecology and pure imagination.
There will also be the opportunity to share your stories and writing in a fun and encouraging space.
Attendees of this workshop may also have the opportunity to rehearse and share their story as part of the performance of 'A Tasmanian Map' on Sunday 11th September.
About your facilitator:
Bert Spinks grew up in Beaconsfield and now has a reputation as a uniquely Tasmanian performer. Sharing work in a variety of forms and on almost any subject matter, Bert has carved out a unique path as a storyteller and poet. Having worked for many years as a mountain guide, Bert lives in the bush and has a unique view on human experiences in the environment. His podcast on this theme, ‘In a Train Carriage, Going Nowhere’, has listeners from around the world.
