Based on the true story of Grecia the toucan, readers of all ages learn how determination and teamwork can make an impact and create lasting change.

About the author:

Becca McMurdie is inspired by real-life successes in wildlife rehabilitation and ecosystem regeneration. She writes fiction and non-fiction books for children that feature animal rescues, rainforests, and urban wildlife. During the day, Becca is an elementary school educator. When not at school teaching, or at home researching a new story, she can be found at the beach, on a mountain, or in the rainforest. Originally from Takoma Park, Maryland, Becca has lived in Mexico, Chile and Costa Rica, and currently resides in New York City.
