On Sat. July 19th at 3pm, join us for a read-aloud and some boisterous play activities with author and BPL Librarian Rachel G. Payne. Kids will get creative and make their own rough-and-tumble play books.

About the author:
Rachel G. Payne is a children’s librarian specializing in early literacy and an advocate for play. She has written about early learning for multiple publications. Her debut picture book Let’s Rumble: A Rough-and-Tumble Book of Play illustrated by Jose Pimienta will be published July 8, 2025 by Rise x Penguin Workshop.
