Star of Anise by Jane Jolly and Di Wu 2021

Come and join us at the museum to listen to the *CBCA 2022 Notable Book: Picture book of the year* Star of Anise.

A gentle story about embracing different traditions, based on the stories of Sikh hawkers in Australia in the late 1800s.

The hawker's wagon jingled and jangled as it came down the track …

Annie and Arthur have been eagerly awaiting Bhagwan Singh's next visit. 

What wondrous things will he have in his cart this time, among the silk and soap, spices and shirts?


Then take a guided tour through Turbans 4 Australia Our South – West Sikhs exhibition.

One ticket per child, accompanying parent/ caregivers do not require a ticket.
