Strange Behaviour are excited to bring you one of the finest DJs on the planet right now – the legendary Frank Booker.
Based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa, Frank Booker has built a worldwide reputation for incredible edits and amazing DJ sets. His highly acclaimed productions have found homes likes of Razor-N-Tape (USA), Wonderful Noise (Japan) and Disco Deviance (UK) and more.
His music has been supported by the likes of Horse Meat Disco, Todd Terje, Rahaan, Detroit Swindle, Session Victim, Red Greg, Jimpster, DJ Nature and many more.
Touring extensively since 2012, Booker has made his way through Australia, Japan, Great Britain, Ireland, France, Holland, Switzerland, USA, and Brazil playing alongside the likes of Moodymann, DJ Harvey, Gilles Peterson, Hunee, Moodymann, Francois K, Dam Funk, Aloe Blacc, Kon, John Morales, Rich Medina and Max Graef.
Booker has also been the DJ of choice for private events for the likes of Prince and Quentin Tarantino when they’ve visited New Zealand.
When DJing his music spans a wide array of quality Black dance music: From the deepest Disco to 80s boogie and cutting-edge house music, as well as some super special re-edits all put together with a focus firmly on the dancers.
