Strange Creatures: Final Performance

Join us for the final performance of Strange Creatures, a five-day creative intensive presented as part of the Melbourne Festival of Puppetry.

Across one week, a group of young people aged 9–15 will work together to create an entirely original performance inspired by the strange creatures, spirit worlds and living landscapes of Studio Ghibli.

Facilitated by UNDERARTS and Golden Scissor Puppets, the young artists will experiment with puppet-making, shadow puppetry, performance, storytelling and original sound design before bringing their ideas together into a new work for the stage.

The final performance will be a chance to step inside the world they have created and see where a week of imagination, experimentation and collaboration has taken them.

This event is free, however bookings are essential as theatre capacity is limited.
