Shifted Lens is a community theater based in Colorado that is focused on reimagining plays and musicals as chances for connection.

We believe community theatre is essential third space, particularly for neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ communities, and we seek to be a safe and welcoming space for ALL.

We believe that theatre exists to shift perspective, and choose bold stories - primarily new or underproduced - as well as build creative teams, that reflect that mission.

We are dedicated to providing opportunities and mentorship to new, young, and underrepresented artists.

We believe that representation matters, both onstage and in the stories we choose to bring to life. Storytelling is how humans learn about a life they have not lived, and more now than ever, we need to be able to shift our perspective and learn about experiences other than our own. As such, we greatly encourage BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, gender non-conforming, and disabled folks to audition, submit for jobs, and consider us when looking for a producer for new works.
