Over the past few years, the cost of production has been steadily increasing on Tasmanian dairy farms. WIth a lower milk price this season, is there anything that can be done on your farm to reduce the cost of production. Come along and join in the discussion with consultant Fiona Smith and other dairy farmers about strategies to maximise profitability this season.Â
A bit about our guest speaker, Fiona Smith:Â
Fiona was raised on a dairy farm in South Western Victoria which she now runs as a beef farm with her husband. Fiona runs a consulting business providing farm business analysis to farmers along with succession planning, strategic planning and scenario planning to assess the impacts on profitability of strategic changes in farm businesses. She works as an experienced facilitator and presenter at farm business discussion groups and seminars. Fiona is also involved as part of the DairyBase support team and the Dairy Farm Monitor Project team.
