Dr David Collins - 7 Things Your Child/Teenager Wants You To Know

Told from the young person's perspective, about what they really want their parent to know (based on what the research says) and some key take away tools to use immediately.

Dr Collins will consider ways to understand how your relationship with your young person shapes their brain both now and, in the future, and will aim to provide key take away tools to effectively engage with your young person.  The presentation will identify what things parents can do to facilitate wellbeing in young people, including knowing how to deal with difficult situations, including conflict, boundary pushing, and rule testing.  Dr Collins will also cover how to build resilience in young people including getting the balance right between providing support and doing too much for your child.
