Straw Plaiting Workshop with Elizabeth Woodroofe

This workshop with Elizabeth, a member of the Guild of Straw Craftsmen, is both wonderfully soothing and enjoyable, and an unusual new skill to learn. You'll be discovering this ancient and endangered decorative craft, plaiting straw into what were known as corn dollies, celebrating the end of the harvest and protecting against bad omens for the next year's harvest. All your tools and materials are supplied, and you'll be able to take home your very own plaited creation.
