Street Side Medics Canberra Launch Event

Join us to celebrate the launch of Street Side Medics in the ACT.

Our new Civic clinic marks an important step in expanding access to free, GP-led primary healthcare for people experiencing homelessness in Canberra. This service has been established with the significant support of the John James Foundation, whose partnership has been instrumental in bringing the ACT clinic to life.

Hosted by our CEO Nic Brown, the event will recognise the community who made this happen.

The Street Side Medics van will be on display on the Federation Mall lawn from 10am - 2pm. Guests are welcome to drop in for a tour throughout the day to see how the service operates and meet some of our dedicated volunteers.

About Street Side Medics
Street Side Medics provides free GP-led healthcare to people experiencing homelessness. We meet vulnerable people where they are, with compassionate care powered by medical volunteers. With 16 clinics across NSW, Victoria, and now the ACT, our vision is to create a world where all individuals requiring healthcare can access it effortlessly with dignity and respect. 

Our first Canberra clinic launched in July 2026. It now operates every Thursday from 5-7pm outside Vinnies Roadhouse in Civic. Care is delivered by a team of volunteers from our fully customised mobile medical clinic.
