Coming at you straight from the Western suburbs of Sydney, this impressive new Australian movie from Ronnie S. Riskalla touches on issues of cultural identity, crime, love and faith in an emotive and cinematic way that will relate to everyone.
After being blamed for the death of his best friend in a racist street fight, Tez, a 25-year-old drug dealer with a cultural identity complex loses the custody of his baby son. Battling a drug addiction and coming to terms with losing his friend, Tez will need to clean himself up fast before his son is taken away forever.
Streets of Colour features a career-defining performance from one of Australia’s most exciting emerging talents, Heath Ledger Scholarship winner Rahel Romahn (Here Out West, The Combination, Amadeus opposite Michael Sheen), with impressive support from Veronica Cloherty, Elliott Giarola, Peter Maple, Athiei and Thuso Lekwape.
