    Strength & Serenity: A Full-Day Experience of Pilates, Yin Yoga, and Meditation

    Looking to nourish both your body and mind? Join us for Strength & Serenity, a full-day wellness retreat designed to bring balance, flexibility, and peace into your life. This unique workshop combines Pilates, Yin Yoga, and Meditation to create a holistic experience that strengthens your core, stretches your body, and calms your mind.

    In this 5-hour journey:

    • Awaken your core with a dynamic Pilates session, focusing on strength and stability.

    • Release tension and enhance flexibility through deep, restorative yin yoga postures.

    • Reconnect with yourself through guided meditation and breathwork, leaving you feeling grounded and centered.

    Whether you’re looking to improve your physical fitness, find deep relaxation, or experience mindful connection, this workshop offers it all. With plenty of time for rest, reflection, and a nourishing lunch, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to take on life with renewed energy.

    Event Schedule:

    • 9:45 – 10:00 AM: Settle in

    Arrive, assemble your props, and get ready for the session.

    • 10:00 – 10:15 AM: Welcome & Opening Circle

    Meet those sharing the day with you and set intentions for the experience ahead.

    • 10:15 – 11:25 AM: Pilates Session – Strengthen and Stretch (1 hour 10 minutes)

    Dynamic flowing movements to activate your core, relieve tightness in your spine, and build overall strength and stability. Resistance bands will engage muscles for maximum benefit, followed by gentle stretching and relaxation.

    • 11:30 – 11:55 AM: Morning Tea Break (25 minutes)

    Enjoy light refreshments and warm drinks to recharge.

    • 12:00 – 1:00 PM: Yin Yoga – Deep Stretch & Relaxation (1 hour)

    Transition into restorative Yin Yoga, focusing on long-held, passive poses to target deep connective tissues and enhance relaxation. Props will be used for support, creating length and openness in your body.

    • 1:10 – 2:00 PM: Lunch Break (50 minutes)

    Savor a healthy vegetarian lunch while exploring the beautiful creek-side native gardens at Bridges.

    • 2:00 – 2:50 PM: Meditation & Breathwork – Harness the Power of Your Mind (50 minutes)

    Bring your focus inward with guided meditation, incorporating self-compassion, loving-kindness, and mantra. The breathwork session (Pranayama) will introduce simple breathing practices for profound relaxation.

    • 2:50 – 3:00 PM: Closing Circle & Reflection

    Reflect on the day, what you’ve learned, and how these practices can be integrated into your daily life. Leave with gratitude for your body, mind, and shared experience.

    • When: Sunday, 10th November, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (includes an hour for lunch and a 20-minute morning tea break)

    • Where: Bridges Function Centre, Restaurant and Nursery

    • Instructor: Gillian Lazenby

    • Suitable for: All experience levels (Pilates and Breathwork are not recommended during pregnancy)

    What to Bring:

    • Yoga mat (spares available)

    • Warm blanket

    • Water bottle

    • Comfortable clothing

    • An open heart
