Strengthening Clubs in the City of Swan: Volunteer Management and Good Sports

Nurture your club volunteers in your sports clubs.

In partnership with the City of Swan, Good Sports invites you to our Strengthening Club Volunteer Forum.

Sporting clubs play a vital role in modelling positive behaviours and creating a healthy community environment, and our volunteers are the champions and drivers of change in our community sporting clubs.

A facilitated discussion will provide education, resources and practical examples that clubs can use to develop, strengthened and nurture their volunteers.

Facilitators are Ian Crawford, an expert in Global Sports Development and Amy Bertram, from the Alcohol and Drug Foundation’s nationally renowned Good Sports Program.

The session will cover:

- Creating robust protection for your volunteers and club members
- Child safeguarding and supporting the next generation of our local sporting sector.
- Practical tips and education around creating a safe, family-friendly environment at your clubs, including resources on responding to alcohol and drug incidents as they arise.

There will also be the opportunity for clubs to network and ask questions of our panel members.

This event is free, but registration is essential.
