The annual gathering of Environment Hubs Aotearoa, Community Energy Network and Zero Waste Network members and friends.

This year's theme for the hui is Regional Connections.

Over the last few years the importance of a thriving, local community has been made very clear. As national networks, our focus is often on wider national conversations, but as community enterprises you're all deeply connected to local communities. This year, we want to explore the space between, bringing members from across the three networks to explore what might be possible, and what is already happening, on a regional level.

What are some of the foundations needed to build solid regional relationships and projects? What are the opportunities that exist in your region? How could the networks support and foster these?

Day one of the hui will include optional site tours to some local Waikato projects to act as inspiration.

Day two is our chance to spend time as networks, focused on energy, zero waste and environment hub specific issues. Then we'll get a chance to get out on the water with a waka ama race.

Day three is when we'll come together as a whole to work on developing regional connections and plans, plus an optional early-morning walk to Maungatautari.
