    Event description

    Join WA Regenerative Livestock Producers Inc and RegenWA for this one day field day featuring one of Australia’s leading agricultural innovators and current Bob Hawke Landcare Award winner for excellence in sustainable agriculture, Bruce Maynard. Over 30 years Bruce has pioneered the fields of No Kill Cropping, Stress Free Stockmanship, Self Herding and Grassland Grain.

    This will be an out-and-about field day - a great opportunity to learn Stress Free Stockmanship from Bruce Maynard, and to see trials on Tim Bending's farm as part of DPIRD's FEED365 project looking at year-round grazing opportunities. More speakers announced soon.

    Date: Friday 27th October 2023 

    Time: 8am - 3pm - please arrive for 7:45am registration. 

    Location: Mandurah. Specific location to be provided upon registration.

    About Bruce Maynard:

    Bruce is one of Australia’s most innovative agricultural systems thinkers who shares his unique journey of implementing and inventing breakthrough land management techniques, transforming his own farm at Narromine, NSW.

    Bruce invented the No Kill Cropping system, developed Stress Free Stockmanship and co-invented Self Herding. He travels Australia and overseas enjoying being a passionate and impartial voice in the promotion of agroecology that increases the diversity of communities and landscapes.

    Bruce’s work can be readily found on the web at: theagtoolshed.com and was recognized as Australia’s leading landcarer with the 2022 Bob Hawke Landcare Award for excellence in sustainable farming.

    About FEED365:

    FEED365 is a four-year project (2021–2025) under the SheepLinks program that engages sheep producers and allied industries to re-design livestock forage systems for grazing all-year-round in Mediterranean environments.

    The SheepLinks program is a partnership between the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and the Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), to underpin the future prosperity of the sheep industry in Western Australia.
