Saint Valentine called and said that cos Feb 14 is a Saturday this year he wants an extra romantic edition of Slow Grind Fever with all smoochy songs and no "you broke my heart you tore it apart" business. And he wants all the guest DJs to be actual romantic couples playing record for record, heart to heart. And he wants that adorable SIMONE PAGE JONES who sings the sultry version of HOT STUFF that everybody loves to sing some romantic songs. And he wants me to pull out the special ice cooled smoke machine for a blanket of magical low lying fog. And also he wants it to be a BYO house party cos that's the best way for people who don't have some romance to find some romance.

And when a legend in the field of romance who's been dead since the 3rd century calls you on the telephone, you don't say "how did you get my number?." You say, "Yes sir, your wish is my command sir."

So we have assembled a crack team of DJ couples (Ria & Sofia, Ginger & Dan aka Ginger Hair & Carpet Dan, Nai & Dom aka Nai Palm & Cazeaux OSLO, Nik & Steph aka DJ Earl Grey & Steve) who know the meaning of romance to trade sets with your host Richie1250 throughout the night, we have engaged SIMONE PAGE JONES to work her magic on the microphone, we have procured the low lying fog fluid, we have begun compiling a list of romantic films to screen in the lounge room, and we have begun finessing the lighting in the kitchen so it's bright enough to see who you're talking to but not so bright that you can inside their pores.

May Saint Valentine smile upon us.

NOTES:
- There will be a smoke machine going all night and it will get very smokey. The smoke is non-toxic but if you ain't into smoke machines this might not be the party for you...
- The dance floor at Slow Grind is for dancing. If you need to use your phone or have a conversation with someone, please do it over in the hallway or go outside and get some fresh air. (We don't mind you taking a quick photo or video to post up later on, but standing in the middle of the dancefloor staring down at your phone or having an extended loud conversation is poor Slow Grind etiquette)
- The vibe of the night is very hazy and sultry, but the vibe is also about having good manners. Don't be all up in someone's personal space if they aren't inviting you.
