Event description

Stringmania is an immersive, residential music camp for musicians who are passionate and curious about traditional and contemporary string music in Australia.

For the past decade, Stringmania has grown into a vibrant, intergenerational community of musicians of all ages and backgrounds. Each year we gather for 6 days under the mighty Mount Donna Buang to learn, share, and celebrate through music — exploring and honouring Australia’s rich cultural diversity.

Stringmania is for people of all ages and backgrounds who seek musical, cultural, and personal enrichment — supported by an open-minded, vibrant, and inclusive community. At the heart of the camp is the belief that music connects us. We explore Australia’s rich cultural diversity, honour global traditions, and nurture the future of vernacular string playing in this part of the world.

Join us in 2025 as we celebrate 10 years of Stringmania: a milestone year filled with special events, guest appearances, inspiring workshops led by world-class tutors, exhilarating jam sessions, and unforgettable performances — all set against the stunning backdrop of the Yarra Valley.

Whether you're a returning participant or new to our community, all will be warmly welcomed to gather for this special anniversary event and help us celebrate where we've come from, where we are, and where we're going.
