If you're a classically trained musician looking to expand your creative practice - this session is for you!
Alongside Christina, you will explore improvisation, reimagine traditional repertoire, collaborate with like minded musicians and help shape original works in a rehearsal process where every voice has input.
Together, we'll build ensemble skills, read between written notes through improvisation and design our own musical creations, all from a classical-trained perspective.

Christina Lieberwirth-Morris
Christina Lieberwirth-Morris is a violinist and PhD candidate at the University of Queensland. She is a graduate of Sydney Conservatorium and Freiburg Conservatorium, Germany. Christina has held contracts with orchestras such as the Freiburg Philharmonic, Basel Chamber Orchestra, Essen Folkwang Chamber Orchestra and the Stuttgart Philharmonic. She was lecturer in pedagogy and teaching assistant at the Freiburg Conservatorium. Returning to Australia in 2023, her artistic focus has shifted towards innovative education and performance practices. Christina’s current research explores improvisation in Classical string playing. She teaches at the University of Queensland and Griffith University’s Young Con program. Christina currently performs with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Camerata, Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra.
