About Lorraine Chai
Lorraine Chai is an international educator, #1 best-selling author, and multi-talented instrumentalist with over 25 years of experience transforming how music is taught and learned. Her teaching combines the best of Kodály, Suzuki, Orff, Dalcroze, Rolland Method, and Alexander Technique, creating a unique style that inspires students to reach their full potential.
Lorraine’s passion for music theory is at the heart of her 27 Stringstastic music theory books, designed for violin, viola, cello, and double bass players. These books have made music theory engaging and accessible, which has gotten students loving her books and allowing them to learn independently and confidently which significantly enhance their instrumental progress.
As a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, ACU, and Birmingham City University, Lorraine’s career spans roles such as consultant for Trinity College London, Australia and past Vice President of AUSTA NSW.
