Strong Men Talk. Strong Men Grow is a community-led event by African Professionals of Australia (APA) focused on addressing mental health stigma among men of African heritage. In many African communities, conversations about mental wellbeing remain difficult, often shaped by cultural expectations of strength and silence.

This event creates a culturally safe and respectful space where men can engage in open dialogue, share lived experiences, and gain practical tools to support their wellbeing. Facilitated by Dr Xavier Mulenga a qualified mental health professional and supported by community leaders, the evening will explore resilience, identity, stress, and pathways to accessing support services in Australia.

Attendees will connect with peers, learn about available mental health resources, and strengthen networks that promote long-term wellbeing.
