Strong Minds, Safe Bodies – Community Self-Defence Series
Event description
Empower your body. Strengthen your mind. Protect What Matters
This five-part self-defence series is for everyday people. It’s a calm, inclusive space for all genders and backgrounds to build confidence and you’ll learn how to use Arakan Martial Art to protect yourself, your family, and your peace of mind.
Led by Chris Kangalis, Senior Arakan Martial Art Instructor (Melbourne), each session focuses on practical skills, emotional regulation, and confident decision-making under pressure- no experience needed.
You’ll explore how to:
Recognise potential threats early
Make fast, safe decisions when it counts
Control space, distance, and body positioning
Respond to grabs and situations with calm readiness
Strike with purpose and precision
Each class blends awareness training, controlled drills, and context-based movement, so you walk away not just stronger — but more grounded, alert, and connected.
