Stronger farms through uncertainty: A practical workshop for livestock producers

Seasons are unpredictable. Markets shift. Costs keep climbing. This workshop gives livestock producers practical tools to stay ahead of the pressure and act with confidence.

In just half a day, you'll work through gross margins, cash flow and decision trigger points with local experts who understand what NSW livestock businesses are facing right now.

What you'll cover

Where are we now? An update on current seasonal and market conditions, followed by a facilitated discussion on management strategies and risk appetite.
Budgeting in uncertain times - How to interpret livestock gross margins (income, variable costs and key drivers), run sensitivity analysis and manage cash flow when margins are tight.
Making decisions earlier - How to identify and set decision trigger points so you can act before pressure reduces your options.
Where to next - A program overview and practical guidance on further support available through the Farm Business Resilience Program.

What you'll take home

A clear way to read and use livestock gross margins for your own enterprise
Confidence to run 'what-if' scenarios across price, production and cost changes
Cash flow strategies for tighter months and better conversations with your lender
A draft set of decision trigger points you can refine for your business

Who should come?

This workshop suits livestock and mixed-enterprise producers planning for a challenging or variable season.
