Join us for a wonderful full-day mother* / daughter workshop designed for young women aged 12-25 years and the women who support them.
*At headspace, we know mothers/family can mean different things to different people. If you prefer to have another female family member attend (Ie. grand mother, aunty, female guardian or adult ) - that is most welcomed.
Through the Empowered Self Defense (ESD) framework, you'll learn practical skills for setting boundaries, recognising intuition, communicating with confidence, and responding to challenging situations.
Empowered Self Defence (ESD) is a unique, trauma-informed approach to personal development, designed to build mental, emotional, social, and physical capacity by learning to manage fear and stress.
It’s about safeguarding against all forms of harm, including verbal, emotional, financial, spiritual, sexual, and physical.
By developing a strong sense of self-awareness, both internally and externally, participants cultivate greater self-worth, confidence, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Alongside these invaluable life skills, you'll share meaningful experiences that deepen connection, encourage open conversations, and create lasting memories.
What you'll gain:
Hands-on, practical self-defence skills in a safe and supportive space
Simple nervous system regulation strategies to manage stress and fear
Greater confidence and self-belief
Practical boundary-setting skills
Assertive communication tools
Increased self-awareness and resilience
Stronger mother-daughter connection
Resources to continue learning at home
The day includes morning tea, lunch, take-home resources, connection activities & more.
This is an opportunity to pause from the busyness of everyday life, deepen your relationship, and gain valuable skills that can empower both mothers and daughters for years to come.
