Join StrongFirst Certified Senior Instructor Piers Kwan at QLD Kettlebells for a practical, technique-focused intensive bridging foundational hardstyle mechanics with advanced ballistic lifts. Class size is strictly capped to preserve small-group coaching ratios and individual technical feedback.
Kettlebell 101 — Simple & Sinister™
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Check-in at 8:30 AM)
Target Audience: Ideal for coaches, lifters, and movement enthusiasts looking to build an unshakeable strength foundation through hardstyle kettlebell mechanics.
The Swing: Master explosive hip extension for posterior chain power and grip endurance.
The Get-Up: Build multi-planar shoulder stability, thoracic mobility, and core control.
The Goblet Squat: Refine deep hip mobility and squatting power under load.
Safety & Mechanics: Apply power breathing, bracing, and biomechanical latching.
Sustainable Programming: Structure long-term progress using Pavel Tsatsouline’s "Alt-S&S" framework.
Kettlebell 201 — The Rite of Passage
Schedule: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Check-in at 1:30 PM)
Target Audience: Built for intermediate-to-advanced trainees and coaches seeking strict overhead pressing power, high-velocity ballistics, and physical autonomy.
The Clean: Learn smooth rack positioning to absorb and transfer force without forearm impact.
The Military Press: Apply total-body tension strategies to build strict overhead pressing strength.
The Snatch: Develop proper technique for high-velocity power output, conditioning, and fatigue management.
Rite of Passage Protocols: Implement proven pressing progressions ("Jurassic," "907 Hypertrophy," and "Heavy").
Prerequisites for KB201
Prerequisite Notice: Participants attending Kettlebell 201 must possess a reliable technical baseline in the Swing, Get-Up, and Goblet Squat.
You can fulfill this requirement by enrolling in the morning Kettlebell 101 session. If attending KB201 only, please verify your technical baseline beforehand by emailing host gym QLD Kettlebells at support@qldkettlebells.com.au or working with a local StrongFirst Certified Instructor.
