Student Ambassadors for Science and Engineering Challenge

Event description

We are looking for current students to support the Science and Engineering Challenge 2024 as student Ambassadors.

The Challenge is designed to provide Year 9 &10 high school students with a positive experience of STEM. 8 schools per day over 2 days, compete against each other in various activities, where students are awarded points for their efforts. The school with the most cumulative points at the end of the day is declared the winner. Winning schools will subsequently compete against each other for a place in the State and National competition.

This event is a lot of fun to run, and we will also show our appreciation for your involvement by offering:

  • Gift-card.
  • Pizza after set-up on Monday
  • Morning Tea & lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Western Sydney University Certificate of Appreciation

If interested, you will need to be available on all of the following dates to participate:

  • Monday 1 July 2024 from 3-5pm for set up of the challenge – there will be pizza!
  • Tuesday 2 July 2024 from 8:30am-3:30pm to assist with the event.
  • Wednesday 3 July 2024 from 8:30am-3:30pm to assist with the event.

Activities for 2024: Each student will be assigned to an activity for the 2 days. We have the activities below for 2024.
