Student Meet: an event for high school students to network and share waste initiatives with other schools

This event is for high school students and staff who want to work together to drive change in waste and sustainability at their school. 

Students will have the opportunity to hear from other secondary students about successful waste and sustainability projects they have implemented. Students from presenting schools will share what they have set up, how they run it, and how they engage the rest of the school. A maximum of 15 students per school will be accepted at registration. Please email hannah.lalor@dwer.wa.gov.au if you would like to request additional student tickets.

Tours of Aquinas College will be on offer during the event, which will showcase their waste and sustainability projects in action, plus a sustainability expo will be available for students and staff to engage with during lunchtime. The sustainability expo will have a range of stalls with a mix of organisations that work in the sustainability space.

Catering:

A light morning tea will be provided for all attendees, students and staff please bring your own lunch. 

Relief reimbursement:

Full day staff relief reimbursement is available for up to two teachers per school and will be paid after the event. 

Bus hire subsidy:
