    Event description

Would you like to make your courses more appealing, improve your students' learning experience and increase retention?

Join us for this in person seminar, where A/Professor Harrington from the University of New England will outline an award-winning program that is based on 14 evidence-based strategies designed to improve student retention, in particular for first year students.

The strategies are used in the Commencing Student Success Program (CSSP) at the School of Education UNE which has been running for 4 years, and A/Prof Harrington will discuss the results of the program and its success in increasing student retention and improving student evaluations. Although initially designed to address first-year courses, the program's success and ability to fill a needs gap led to its recognition of 8 awards at the School, College, University, Regional and State levels, and has been nominated for an AAUT national award. It is now being implemented across all courses at UNE.
