    Take your idea to the next level in 54 exhilarating hours!

    Open to all women and non-binary university students across WA, the experience will be held from 13th - 15th of September at Curtin's Bentley campus.

    Student Startup Weekend Women provides students with an exciting entry into the world of startups. Over three action-packed days, the best mentors, investors, co-founders and sponsors will provide you and your team with the tools to turn your idea into a raging success. 

    Be guided through the process of building a business venture from an idea. By the end of the weekend, you will have gained invaluable skills such as how to form a team, conduct market research, prototype your product or service, and how to pitch to investors.

    Prizes

    1. 1st prize - $400 Varsity voucher, free co-working space for a year, and a one-on-one mentoring session with a member of the Curtin Entrepreneurship team
    2. 2nd prize - $200 Varsity voucher plus free co-working space for a year.
    3. 3rd prize - $100 Varsity voucher

    Weekend Schedule

    • Friday 13 September - 4:30pm to 6:00pm - pitches take place and teams are formed
    • Saturday 14 September - 9:00am - 6:00pm - teams work on their business ideas
    • Sunday 15 September - 9:00am - 7:45pm - teams finalise their ideas with the final pitch competition held at the end of the day

    What does the 54 hours look like?
    Networking, 60 second idea pitching

    Business model planning
    Pitch Presentation
    Team fighting, idea changing, business redirecting... eating, drinking, dancing and having lots of fun!

    Women in Business will also be providing a career pathways exclusive workshop as part of this special edition!

    Who can attend?

    This event is for women and non-binary students above the age of 16 who are a current high school or university student. You can be studying any discipline – teams need a variety of thinkers from marketing to engineering to health sciences and more!

Our intention is that you meet some amazing people that you might start a company with, learn from mentors, as well as learning from your peers. The event is intended to be a collaborative forum for sharing, learning, building, and having fun.
