A queer disco variety show where every act is a different channel on the dial

Grab the remote and flip through the wildest lineup on television. Studio 45 Live is back at The Trestle Inn, and this month we're Channel Surfing. Each act is a different "channel" on the Studio 45 TV, from late night programming to action-packed thrills, with your co-hosts Velvet Divine and Just Joey fighting over the remote the entire time.

Step into our studio audience and tune in to an evening of burlesque, drag, clowning, comedy, music, and more, all filtered through the static of a queer disco fever dream. Who controls the dial? Who controls the narrative? Only one way to find out.

Danielle Levsky (they/she) is a West Philly-based transdisciplinary artist whose work brings together clowning, physical theatre, and embodied storytelling.

Their work includes "The Waiting Room", an interactive clown show where Toska the Clown and the audience navigate a Kafkaesque immigration processing center; "War and Play, " commissioned by National Queer Theater at Lincoln Center in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and "The Crone Chronicles, " a physical theater fairytale and audience-interactive exploration of Slavic folklore. Recent presentations include PhysFestNYC, Cannonball Festival, Philly Theater Week, and FringeArts Scratch Nights.

As a community curator, Danielle hosts and produces monthly events like Full Moon on Fire, Studio 54 Live, Candy Land, Philly Clown Slam (co-produced), and more, connecting performance to community healing and social transformation. They also lead workshops in yoga, clown practice, and Jewish clown traditions.

Danielle's work centers on breaking down barriers between performers and audience, using clown to reveal connections through shared vulnerability and play. Their performances investigate how we process complex historical and personal narratives through the body, finding humor and humanity in all spaces.
