Studio Lighting and Fashion Photography - Melbourne Campus
Description
Whether you're picking up a camera for the first time or looking to strengthen your technical foundation, this hands-on workshop covers everything you need to shoot confidently in a professional studio environment. Working with a professional model, you'll learn how to set up and control studio lighting, direct your subject, and capture dynamic fashion portraits - then take those images through a focused editing session before presenting them together into a simple editorial layout.
Hosted at the Whitehouse Institute of Design in Melbourne, the day is structured to give you real time behind the camera - not just watching, but doing.
How the day runs
Learning + Photography - Learn manual camera settings, studio lighting setup, and how to pose and direct a professional model. You'll spend a large portion of the day here - shooting, experimenting, and building confidence with the gear.
Editing - Move into Adobe Creative Cloud to select and edit your best shots from the session. You'll learn how to retouch and refine your images so they're ready to present.
Editorial layout - A light introduction to presenting your work - you'll place your edited images into a simple digital layout to take away as a finished piece from the day.
What to bring
Your preferred camera (Mirrorless, DSLR) including SD card*
Your own lunch (light refreshments provided)
*Note: not all cameras are compatible with our studio lighting setup so you may need to use ours on the day.
