Come together with Leith's queer community, be the first to try our special edition Pride Beer, and raise money for the Trans community! 🏳️⚧️
That's right—two of your favourite local, queer-owned businesses have come together to launch a delicious, limited edition fundraiser beer for Pride 2026! Studio Lutalica designed the label, and Closet Brewing brewed the beer. A match made in heaven, right?
What's the event?
This fundraising event will bear the tropical fruits of our labour! (Did some say Hazy Pale Ale?) A Pride-shaped party to bring together Edinburgh's queer community, queer-owned businesses and community groups, enjoy a cold drink in the sun, and—most importantly—to raise funds for the LGBTQ+ community 🍻
Where will the funds raised go?
All proceeds from ticket donations and raffle sales (YES, there will be a BIG GAY raffle!) and 10% of all beer sales will be donated to Studio Lutalica's Community Impact Fund—the Designing For Trans+ Futures strand—which offers free and discounted design support to Trans-led projects.

Agenda
Doors open at 6pm. Come on in, grab yourself a drink, buy a raffle ticket, and get to know your fellow queers. There'll be local queer business owners, creatives, community groups, allies, and the wider LGBTQ+ community.
It's really an opportunity to come together and kick off the Pride season IRL! Plus, you can also expect a short hello from both Studio Lutalica and Closet Brewing, and the opportunity to enter said BIG GAY raffle.
We'll then head to Lost in Leith, who are kindly hosting us for the afterparty—where you'll be able to try our beer on tap!
Remember! 10% of all beer sales on the night (and throughout Pride season) will be donated to Designing for Trans Futures 🍻🏳️⚧️

And the backstory?
Studio Lutalica is an Edinburgh-based not-for-profit studio supporting women and LGBTQ+ people through accessible design. Earlier this year, we launched our Community Impact Programme and fund—a pot we're filling because we believe professional design shouldn't be a luxury, but a tool for (queer) liberation!
With Pride on the horizon, we were exploring ways we could work with other queer businesses to raise funds for the CIP. Closet Brewing—the first openly queer-owned brewery in Scotland—was the first to come to mind. Following a quick coffee and chat, they were in! Together, we've created this special edition Pride beer in honour of Trans+ icon, Marsha P. Johnson. The 'P' stands for... You guessed it! Pay It No Mind.

FAQs
- Will there be non-alcoholic drinks available?
Yes! We'll have a selection of alcohol-free drinks available on the night.
- Where will the donations from ticket sales go?
They will go straight into the Designing for Trans+ Futures strand of Studio Lutalica's Community Impact Fund, meaning the money will be used to offer free and discounted design support to Trans+ founders, organisations, and projects!
- Can I donate a prize to the raffle?
Yes please! If you'd like to donate a prize to the raffle, please use this form.
- Can I buy a raffle ticket on the night?
Yes please! We'll be selling raffle tickets at the event, with prizes donated by queer and ally-owned local businesses and all proceeds going straight into the Community Impact Fund.
- Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
It is, yes—the entrance is at ground-level. To note: There are cobbles just as you're entering the courtyard before you reach the building entrance.
- Will there be a quiet space inside the venue?
We're working to create a quiet space, yes! Further details incoming soon.
- Will there be photographs taken?
Yes! But we'll have stickers at the entrance which you can collect and wear if you'd prefer not to be photographed/featured in any social posts following the event. If you can't see the stickers, ask a member of the Studio Lutalica/Custom Lane team.
- Can I bring my kid/dog?
To the main Custom Lane event, yes. To the afterparty, it's only furry friends permitted.
- Will there be an afterparty?
Yes! The lovely folk at Lost in Leith (just around the corner from Custom Lane) will be hosting us after the main event closes at 8:30pm. All going to plan, we'll even have Pay It No Mind on keg there, too!

You can! The simplest way to donate if you can't attend, is through this link.
- I can't make the event, can I buy the beer online?
Yes! Pay It No Mind will be available to buy on Closet Brewing's website. It'll also be for sale at select pubs across the UK. Catch it while you can...
