Kick-start your teen’s NCEA exam revision with StudyTime’s school holiday workshops

With NCEA exams approaching, knowing where to start can be half the challenge. Your teen might be putting in the hours but still feel unsure about key concepts, what exam questions are asking, or how to turn their knowledge into marks.

The October holidays are a chance to get support with those sticking points, while still making time for a well-earned break.

Following last year’s successful workshops, Inspiration Education, in collaboration with StudyTime, is again running NCEA Level 2 and 3 revision workshops from Tuesday 6 to Friday 9 October at Wellington College.

Each two-hour workshop focuses on a specific external or topic, bringing the key content and exam strategies together in one structured session.

Your teen will have the opportunity to:

• Strengthen their understanding of the key content. They will revisit important concepts from earlier in the year and work through gaps that could hold them back in the exam.

• Understand what the exam expects. Students will get clearer on what they need to demonstrate and how to approach the questions they’ll face.

• Build towards Merit and Excellence marks. Attendees will learn strategies for tackling more demanding questions and developing stronger answers that meet the NCEA criteria.

• Get personalised help when something hasn’t clicked. They will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from experienced tutors who have been through NCEA themselves.

• Keep building on what they’ve learnt. Your teen will take home a workbook that will structure note-taking during the workshop and that they can return to throughout their revision.

Whether your teen needs to consolidate the foundations or is aiming for higher grades, these workshops offer focused support at a time when it can make a real difference.

Two hours of guided revision can help make the coming month of independent study significantly more focused and productive, giving your teen a clearer understanding of the topic and more confidence to get started.
