Featuring:
Jeffrey Jay (@heyjeffreyjay)
He/Him • Transgender Man
Jeffrey Jay is a Los Angeles-based, transgender stand-up comedian originally from Texas City, Texas.
He has been touring the NACA college circuit since 2011, performing hundreds of shows that combine stand-up with a comedy Q&A. He was shortlisted by the BBC Writers’ Room, was the comedy writer for Feast of Fun, and was a second-rounder in the Warner Bros Writing Fellowship, Austin Film Festival, and Sundance in 2021 & 2022. He has also worked as a Writers’ PA and Showrunner’s Assistant on Season 6 & 7 of The CW’s Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars on HBO Max.
He was featured in The New York Times for his work on the BEING Trans podcast in 2022 and has been seen on HULU, The CW’s The Eye Opener, The Guardian, and in The Advocate as one of “The Top 7 Transgender Comedians.”
He also teaches ally training and speaks at colleges and high schools to educate others about trans issues. His favorite TV credit is winning $1500 on Let’s Make a Deal while dressed as a panda.
Nola Bradley (@mx.nolabradley)
She/They • Queer, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender
Nola Bradley is an LA native, who now calls herself home in Oakland, CA. Her comedy is wickedly insightful about her absurdist journeys through transgender discovery, sexuality, addictions and mental illness. With the acerbicness of Wanda Sykes and the intimacy of Neal Brennan, she’s unsparing yet vulnerable about ridiculous trans stereotypes and our bleak political climate – while roasting her own self-absorbtion too. Nola is a thought-provoking, generationally talented comédienne, but never too high brow for a girldick joke.
Andre Margatini (@andremargatini)
They/He • Queer, Gay, Non-Binary, Gender Queer, Transgender
Andre Margatini is a Bay Area born, raised, and braised writer, performer, and producer. They are the author of Fred: An unbecoming woman and the host of the monthly queer open mic Is it a bit…Queer?, which they host at Thee Parkside. They are the recent winner of the Three Strikes Comedy Competition, and their comedy has been featured on Safe Words, Comedy Q, Backyard Bits, and Mental Health Comedy Hour. Most recently they co-wrote and co-starred in Luigi: The Musical, which has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, The Washington Post, CNN, and more. They are passionate about amplifying the voices of queer artists and hope to keep doing that for the rest of their cute little life.
Nova Bradford (@nova.allcaps)
She/Her • Bisexual, Transgender
Nova is a writer, director, and all-purpose weirdo who does standup when she’s not producing street theater, disappointing her parents, or otherwise causing trouble. You may have seen her perform at OASIS, the White Horse, or in somebody’s back yard.
Tanna Samone (@tannasamone)
She/Her • Lesbian
Tanna Samone is a San Francisco born and Oakland raised comedian, storyteller, and educator. Her comedy derives from growing up as biracial lesbian in the Bay and teaching youth. She is a Host/Producer of Comedy Q events and has performed for Safe Words, Laughs w/ Benefits, Caribiner Comedy, Bangou Productions and Redwood Nights.
