Are you ready to say NO THANK YOU, to mindless fashion, beauty and wellness trends and YES please, to more conscious consumption habits that reflect a deep spiritual connection to your individuality and the earth? Are you wanting to make a change but have no idea how and where to start?

What if we said "The easiest way to create change in the world is through the sacred connection of self! Using the clothes on your back and the shoes on your feet?"

Then this workshop is for you.

Our Conscious style activism workshop will take you on a journey of experiencing the soul connection and language of color, followed by interactive discussions on ‘Your body as your canvas’, where we will unpack the myths on beauty and body image, giving ourselves permission to embrace our whole selves, leading us into a session on creativity as your birthright. This is then followed by the conscious connection of spirit heard through our intuition, that we call personal style. Ready with a new found knowledge and freedom, we playfully restyle our old clothes, exchange stories and swap the pieces you brought for new pieces.

During this workshop we will reconnect you with yourself through practices that enable your deep inner knowing to come to the forefront. You will connect with yourself, with colors, your senses and your clothes.

You will start a revolution from within that will be expressed through what you wear.

How do you join the Styling session:

Please bring up to 5 pieces of your most loved clothing and accessories that needs some new life through mending and/or up-cycling, pieces you have no idea how to wear but love and pieces that you wish you could wear but feel you can't. Karishma Kelsey, founder and designer of Karishma Design, and her team will help you style and reinvent your clothes into something new.

Clothing Swap Guidelines:

Please bring up to 15 previously worn and loved clothing items with you. This includes shoes & accessories. Ladies and Men both welcome.

Please ensure your clothes are in good condition (No rips, tears, no missing buttons, and no stains please) and freshly laundered.

Your items will be counted by the team. Once you have mingled and browsed to find your new-to-you items, you can swap your new items at a 1:1 ratio. Any garments remaining will be donated to Women's Refuge.

Feel free to stay and enjoy a drink with your fellow clothes swappers once you're done, and celebrate your new sustainable and swapped wardrobe!!

Karishma Design’s research through observations, interviews and customer feedbacks over the last 17 years has culminated in her writing a book on Conscious Style Activism called Miraculous Me: A toolkit to break free from the scarcity mindset, whilst transforming into a more conscious and mindful humans through positive creative expression of self through the art of getting dressed. This work deeply involves helping people break free from the noise and the judgments of society, helping them transform through their own style, using their bodies as their canvas and their clothing as their tools. The website, a call for action, and the social media platforms are well on their way.

Fashion Revolution is a global movement calling for greater transparency, sustainability and ethics in the fashion industry. It aims to unite the fashion industry and ignite a revolution to radically change the way our clothes are sourced, produced and purchased, so that what the world wears has been made in a safe, clean and fair way.
