    Event description

Sub Rosa, literally means "Under The Rose" and the rose historically used to symbolize secrecy, is a fitting name for these semi-private sessions which limit to 80 guests to attend. Sub Rosa Sessions uphold a truly unique, high-end listening experience since it's beginnings in 2012, when it was founded and hosted by singer-songwriter Amanda Rogers for 4 years at Subcat Studios. The revival of the monthly series now commences at a new space in Downtown Syracuse.  This listening room concert is an immersive experience for the attendees and performers to connect and share in the live concert - hearing music the way the artist intended.

Thursday, July 25th, Sub Rosa Sessions will feature touring troubadour Stevie Tombstone, on tour from his NC home base, and singer-songwriter Nora Quinn.

Tombstone's debut full length release, 730 AM, featured performances by members of Wilco, Jason and the Scorchers, The Bad Livers, and The Georgia Satellites, and offered tracks that peaked on the Satellite Radio charts. After several comps and EPs, his 2011 release, Greenwood, reintroduced Stevie to Americana and folk listeners with the autobiographical tale of his journey to Greenwood to mark the grave of then unhonored Robert Johnson.

Over the years, Tombstone’s bandmates and co-conspirators have been a veritable who's who of underground and nationally recognized players. Priding himself in his ability to cross genres, he has also had the honor of sharing the bill with the likes of Leon Russell, The Stray Cats, Greg Allman, Willie Nelson, Chip Taylor, Drive By Truckers, Marshall Tucker Band, Johnny Bush, Charlie Starr , Kevn Kinney and the list goes on.

Americana singer-songwriter Nora Quinn makes music that tells stories. Her sound pulls from the country music tradition, but often strays to pop, folk rock, and vintage influences. Quinn is based in Upstate, NY but sometimes calls Boston and Copenhagen home. She has released two singles, "After You're Gone" and "Brave Now," garnering over 15,000 listens on Spotify, and over 160,000 views of her music on Instagram. Quinn has featured on 95X and received dozens of positive reviews and write-ups from various publications.
