Description

Led by Fordham English alum, Jacob Myron Cerdena, this writing workshop hike will feature reading, writing, a meal, and a 3 mile roundtrip hike to a secret reservoir. During this workshop students will exercise writing by instinct and observation, with the goal to connect writer and environment. While writing can be used as a way to center and hold weight, this workshop is intended to guide the students towards weightlessness, instinct, and "big picture" writing, unlocked by a grand view of the mountains and a serene mountaintop lake.

  • Open to all Fordham students and alums

  • RSVP latest by Thursday, May 28th

  • Meet at Grand Central Station at 9:30 am to catch 9:56 am train to Beacon. Return train from Beacon is 4:09 pm arriving back at Grand Central at 5:44 pm.

  • Limited spots are available. Hike, transportation and meal will be provided to all participants.

  • Minimum 5 person attendance is required for this event to run.
