Suburban Vibes presents "A night with Jordy Maxwell"

One thing we love about our winter shows is their intimacy. Just a small lucky crew, nice and cosy in a special space listening to some very special artists and we are so stoked to kick off our first winter show with one of our favs - Jordy Maxwell. With a new EP recorded, this is the first time he will be playing his new tunes, as well as some old faves.

With lyrics like “I was smiling with tears in my eyes” Jordy will take us on an emotional rollercoaster ride, always showing his vulnerability and taking you on a heartfelt and always entertaining journey.  With supports by the mesmerising Darcie Haven and another to be announced soon.

JORDY MAXWELL

Jordy Maxwell is a talented photographer, who brightly emerged into the Perth music scene in January 2017. At 27, Jordy was a late bloomer to music and song writing, but since 2017, has proven how important music is for people to express their stories and to experience an emotion through his heartfelt, honest lyrics and his soulful, raw voice. Though mostly a sunny and lively personality, Jordy can hold an audience with his mix of raw emotion and light-hearted humour to accompany his endearing performances.

Jordy released his debut single, ‘Blue Eyes’ in October 2017 which has since reached a large audience all around the world, Including being a feature track for Surf Brand O’Neil and USA Cinematographer, Connor Guest, where the song featured in a beautiful Short Film called “Never Coming Home”. His debut EP, “Honest” was released a few months later with the EP now reaching over 3 million streams on Spotify.

‘Maxwell’s strength in the live arena lies in his uncanny ability to make his music wholly relatable to a wide audience. He achieves this through honest song writing, lyrics that draw forth vivid imagery and a truly Australian wit and charisma that allows the audience to make his music their own’ – Kyron Smithson

DARCIE HAVEN

Perth based singer-songwriter Darcie Haven is just two singles into her career but is quickly establishing herself as an Australian music staple. Melancholic and utterly charming, Haven blends all the ingredients of whimsical indie-pop along with her unique touch and personal experience to create a new era of coming-of-age anthems. Her delicate vocals offer a heart-fracturing emotion and an even more intense sense of relatability. Grabbing the listener by the hand and guiding them through the tumultuous times of our current world, Darcie Haven is sure to be the next soundtrack to our core life experiences.
