THE LITTLE LORD STREET BAND
Entering their seventh year, The Little Lord Street Band have put the runs on the board.
The Perth four-piece have been crowned Best Country Act three years straight at the West Australian Music Industry awards on the strength of their dynamic live show and three acclaimed EP releases - the latest, AMRAP chart-topping ‘Waking Up Next To You’ including the WAM Song of the Year (Country) ‘Maybe I’m Just In Love’
TLLSB successfully released their debut album ‘ A Minute of Another Day’ to a sold out Rosemount Hotel in Perth, landing in the ‘The AU Review’ Top 40 albums in 2020 and RTR Fm local feature album, as well as singles ‘Fighting for Air’, ‘Where are We’ and ‘Minute of Another Day’ added to Double J, RTR Fm and ABC Country.
They’ve toured as hard as any band can – playing hundreds of stages, equally comfortable and charming set up in the corner of a country pub or playing marquee touring support – including highlights Gomez (UK), Justin Townes Earle (USA) and Ruby Boots (USA via WA), Daniel Champagne (USA via NSW) and next up ARIA award winning Fanny Lumsden on her first ever Country Halls Tour in June 2021.
KAT WILSON
Described as a mash up of Paul Kelly and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kat Wilson’s sonic brew is infused with hours spent sitting on council verge-collection furniture and playing ping pong. The music is taut, sweet and drenched in the azure of the WA coastline that is a core part of Wilson’s heritage. Add to that lyrics that come from a sharp observational eye and speak with a poet’s knack for creating meaning out of the ordinary, and you begin to get a sense of just what Wilson is capable of.
Kat Wilson’s unique and beguiling voice is entirely her own, no comparisons will prepare you for her sound. Her songs effortlessly fuse pop with coastal blues and just a dash of folk, along with the ability to shred on her guitar with the best of them. Know this, and you may just come close to understanding what Kat Wilson was put on Earth to do.
MICHAEL SAVAGE
In 2018, Fremantle psych-pop auteur Michael Savage self-released his third critically acclaimed full-length album in as many years. "Won't Die Wondering" cemented Savage's reputation as “One of the finest songwriters Perth has on offer” (Jarrod Henry, AMNPlify).
His third straight RTR FM feature album, its vinyl release saw Savage and his band land supports for The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Davey Lane, Abbe May and Royston Vasie.
Michael Savage releases his fourth album in 2019. A left turn from the maximalist psychedelia of Won't Die Wondering, first single "Nagano 98" is a far more whimsical, contemplative and pastoral affair that recalls The Lucksmiths and The Zombies.
