مُخْتار MOKTAR

Moktar is a DJ and producer effortlessly combining club and techno with traditional Arabic instrumentation, sampling and producing to emphasise his Egyptian-Australian background. A hybrid style, Moktar’s music is new to the clubs of Australia and is itching to make its way across dancefloors.

Moktar’s heritage has always been at the forefront of his identity. Navigating racism and abuse was an everyday reality growing up in the Shire, especially in the years surrounding the Cronulla riots. Regardless, Moktar’s Middle-Eastern background found its way to become a source of pride: and with that pride comes the inspiration to share the sounds of his culture through his own music.

DINA (Nachtcrew)

Fast, dark and uncompromising - that’s Dina’s techno described in three words. Dina hails from Toronto, where they established themselves as force to be reckoned with behind the decks as one part of the Nachtcrew - a label and party series fusing rave sounds, art and 3D mapping to provide a totally immersive sensory experience. More recently, DINA relocated to Egypt to focus on music production and their ongoing radio series 'Boarding Gate' on n10.as radio.

Since 2018 DINA has found international success as a techno DJ across Europe, headlining their own shows and appearing alongside acts such as LSDXOXO, KI/KI, Shlømo,SPFDJ and more. DINA has made Berlin their home-away-from-home, with regular appearances at clubs there and across Europe.

DINA has also released a number of singles & EPs on labels Molten Moods, Nachtcrew, Space Trax, Air Texture, Global Amnesia, Imus and more. Her productions range from spacey ambience, punching techno basslines and ethereal trance melodies.
